I get asked the question, 'how much money do doctors make?' every week on social media, so in this video I'm going to break down my payslip. I'll be explaining how much money I make as a junior doctor in the UK, what contributes to my doctors pay, and the deductions.

Hopefully this will be interesting for people who want to have an insight into medicine as a career, I'm trying to be as transparent as possible so that we can plan for our financial futures.

I'm currently working as a first year GP trainee, so I've worked for 3 years in hospital already (two during my Foundation Years, and one as a Locum Doctor).
