What is Mabon? How to celebrate Mabon Sabbat?

The Mabon Sabbat marks the Autumnal Equinox on the Wheel of the Year, the date when the position of the planet in relation to the Sun is perfectly balanced and the length of day and night is equal. It is a moment of balance and thanksgiving for all the existing abundance.

Northern Hemisphere: around September 22nd
Southern Hemisphere: around March 20th

In this period the Goddess reaches her old age and announces that the beginning of her saddest and darkest phase, the Samhain Sabbat, is coming. During the Mabon, it is celebrated the abundance of the harvests that is coming to an end and the preparations for the winter begin.
