Inherited agricultural assets like family farms that are worth over £1 million would be taxed at 20% - they were previously exempt from the tax. Farmers at the protest tell the Guardian that this change will mean they won’t be able to continue working on their family farms. Amongst the anger at the new inheritance tax changes is mistrust of politicians, fears over the future of farming in the UK and conspiracy theories.
