Dare is seen approaching a fire in his car, before getting out and approaching the blaze with a neighbour. 'There's a car over there and someone's at the door,' Dare can be heard saying. 'Someone just got out of that other car ... and they walked off.'
Terry Ryan is presiding over the coronial inquest into the deaths of police constables Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold and Dare at a property in western Queensland at the hands of Nathaniel, Gareth and Stacey Train on 12 December 2022. It was unclear exactly which Train killed Dare because the bullet fragments in his body were too badly damaged to identify the calibre of bullet, the court heard
