Quite Simply, It makes good coffee
I purchased this product to replace a similar model that we owned for 12 years before it finally died. It’s gone through a lot of redesign: larger capacity and larger housing. I like the changes to the control panel, especially the move from the base to the top front as it’s less susceptible to spills. It operates literally the same as the old unit, save the extra 2 cup capacity, and most importantly makes excellent coffee - this is why we’re attracted to the Krups brand.

We’re not seeing any of the performance issues that previous reviews call out - yes the carafe is bigger and bulkier, but still very functional. The lid takes some effort to engage, but you should quickly get the hang of it. Yes, it’s too big to operate under cabinet, but pulling it out for 15 minutes while brewing is really no hassle for us. We don’t see any issues with coffee leaking out while brewing.
