Superposition is like when you have a toy that can be two different things at the same time. Imagine you have a toy truck, and it can be red or blue. You can put it in a spot where it's both red and blue at the same time. This is what we mean by superposition.

In physics, superposition says that tiny things like atoms and particles can be in more than one place at the same time, or have more than one property at the same time. This might seem strange, but it's what scientists have found out about the world of tiny things. Just like the toy truck, the tiny things can be different things at the same time until we look at them and make a choice.

So, superposition is like a magic trick, where things can be two things at once, until we look at them and see what they really are.
