As part of proactive action against drug peddlers, on receipt of tangible information by LB Nagar Police a joint operation along with SOT, LB Nagar Zone Team, Rachakonda and apprehended Jagadish Chandra Jhat and seized 2.6 kgs Opium at his instance from his house Plot No. 538/A, Sri Ramana colony LB Nagar.

2 : Suresh, Occ: Marble truck Driver, R/o. Kapasan Tahsil, Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan State. (Absconding)

Brief Facts: -
The accused Jagadish Chandra Jhat is a native of Roliya (V), Udaipur Division, Kapasan Tahsil, Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan State migrated to Hyderabad six years ago and eking livelihood by running Ice Cream Parlour in the name style of Sri Krishna Ice Cream Parlour situated at Plot No. 538/A, Sri Ramana Colony, LB Nagar. Due to lockdown, he suffered heavy financial loss and he was finding it difficult to meet his lavish life style.
When met his acquaintance Suresh, during the former’s visit to Rajasthan, Suresh advised him to sell opium to earn easy money and assured to provide the same at reasonable rates
Accordingly. Suresh, who is truck driver used to come to Hyderabad to deliver the Marble consignments from Rajasthan State to Hyderabad and had brought narcotic drug Opium 2.6 KGs for an amount of Rs 2 Lakhs per KG and handed over to Jagadish Chandra Jhat on 12.04.2022
Today on 13-04-2022 evening hours on tip off, the LB Nagar Police conducted joint operation along with SOT LB Nagar Zone Team and apprehended the accused Subash Chandra Jhat along with contraband 2.6 Kg Opium which ready to sell to the needy customers for an amount of Rs 10 lakhs per Kg. Efforts are afoot to identify truck driver Suresh and receivers.
The above arrests were made under the direct supervision of Sri Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Sunpreeth Singh. DCP, LB Nagar Zone and Sri K. Muralidhar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, Sri P. Sreedhar Reddy, Asst. Commissioner of Police, LB Nagar Division, by Sri B. Anji Reddy, Inspector of Police, SOT-LB Nagar Zone, Sri T. Ashok Reddy, Inspector of Police, LB Nagar Police Station, Sub-Inspectors Sri K. Prathap Reddy, Mohd. Thakiuddin, A.A. Raju and staff of SOT, LB Nagar zone and LB Nagar Police Rachakonda.
