"Forging an unbreakable connection between the past and the present, the lunchtime recitals at Piping Live! 2023 have been curated to breathe new life into instruments played by some of Highland piping's most iconic players. Today's recital is from Ross Ainslie.

In each of the three instalments, the instrument serves as a tribute to the heritage and artistry of the performer. Today's recital is from one of Scotland’s finest contemporary traditional musicians, Ross Ainslie, who will perform a solo recital on an instrument played by his childhood teacher and mentor, Gordon Duncan."
