Out & About: While in Texas for the Craft Brewers Conference GK gets to witness Austin's famous bats...and gets bat words of wisdom from Great Basin Brewery owner Tom! Then it's time for some drinking and mingling with friends and fellow beer enthusiasts. GK runs into Vinnie and Natalie of Russian River Brewing, our old friend Lee Chase, Dick and our old friend Sam Calgione of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Walt who's regular poster and member of RateBeer (and he shares a bottle of Ballantine Burton Ale which was brewed in 1934 and bottled in 1948!), learns about "butt snorkeling" (wha?) from Henry of GA, and gives a "Congrats" to Sean Lilly Wilson of NC's successful "Pop The Cap" campaign!
