Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are at the frontier of genetic medicine. Cayman Chemical, a leader in lipid chemistry, has partnered with Unchained Labs to transfect cells with LNPs made on Nunchuck, using the latest generation of ionizable lipids. In this webinar, we show how we used Nunchuck to make LNPs in small-volume screening runs and bulk formulations. We then used Stunner to analyze critical particle characteristics. In the screening runs, we used fluorescent lipids to evaluate LNP uptake, minimizing the need for pricey nucleic acids during the optimization process. The complete workflow will be illustrated, from the testing of flow rates in initial formulations to the final assessment of mRNA expression in multiple cell types, showing successful transfection of cells by the LNPs.
