A day to night time lapse from high above the city of Los Angeles. My original destination was the Griffith Observatory, however I failed to check to see if there were any events going on last night. There was. The upper lot was closed, so I had to scramble for another location.

I had never been to Runyon Park, but from looking at the map it seemed like it would have good skyline views. Man! It did not disappoint! We went up Mullholland Drive and parked outside the gated lot (for fear of being locked in after dark) walked out to the end of the overlook about 10 minutes and bam! Full on 180 degree view of LA.

It was a super clear night, not a cloud in the sky - I would have wished for a few, but I'll take clear over cloudy here lately. I was a little indecisive on my composition, but in the end I love the way the lights come up and you can see all the activity. Can't wait to go back.
