Brain development:
The early years are a crucial period for child development due to the rapid advances in brain growth. In this stressful time of COVID-19, it is worth having a look at what is happening in brain development and, more importantly, what we as parents and caregivers can do to support optimal development. This interesting topic is co-presented by Brian Harrison, Science of Early Childhood Development, Red River College and Isabelle Vinet, Executive Director of the Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Development.
The webinar series has been created under the Early Childhood Development Science to Practice: Knowledge Mobilization Project. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada's Social Development Partnerships Program (Children and Families). Project partners are Families Canada, Centre of Excellence for Early Childhood Development, Lawson Foundation, Margaret and Wallace McCain Family Foundation, Red River College, Université Laval, Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, and Storypark Inc.
