By Appellant’s Notice filed on 16 August 2023 the Claimant/Appellant (C) appeals the order dated 30 June 2023 of Hill J sitting in the King’s Bench Division, following judgment dated 30 June 2023 dismissing C’s claims against the Commissioner of Police for the City of London, the Defendant/Respondent (D).
Background: C brought claims against D for assault, battery and misfeasance in public office after an incident on 7 April 2018 in which C was arrested, tasered and handcuffed by the police. D denied all the claims contending that C had been fundamentally dishonest.
