The customer was unable to run the completion in a subsea well, causing significant down-time and incurred costs with a semi-submersible rig and full crew on board.
EV’s RT-120 drill pipe camera was run to determine the problem and discovered an alignment sleeve that should have been removed at surface was still in place. This information enabled in-field decision making and decisive action to be performed.
Once fished the completion was run successfully and the well was brought on-line as planned.
