A wintry mix of precipitation is expected this evening, starting as rain in the Treasure Valley and changing to snow overnight. While most of the valley won't see much in the way of snow accumulation, up to an inch of snow is possible along the I-84 corridor. Plan for a potentially sluggish commute Monday morning, with mainly wet and slushy roads.
Mountain valleys can expect 1-3" of snow, with 2-5" in the higher elevations. Winter driving conditions are expected, especially along Highways 55 and 21. Winter Weather Advisories are posted for these areas through Monday evening. There will also likely be isolated bands of more moderate snow that move through during the day Monday. This could reduce visibility at times.
