LWF means labour welfare fund.Labour welfare fund is a statutory contribution managed by individual state authorities. It is an aid in the form of money or necessities for those in need. It provides facilities to labourers in order to improve their working conditions, provide social security, and raise their standard of living.
The Labour Welfare Fund Act is not applicable to all category of employees working in the establishment. It depends upon the wages earned and designation of the employee.

MLWF details:

Categories of Employee to be covered-All Employees except those working in the managerial or supervisory capacity and drawing wages exceeding Rs.3500/- only per month

Contribution Period: June and December
Periodicity: 30th June and 31st December
Last Day of Submission: 15th July and 15th January
Employee Contribution:Rs. 12/-
Employer Contribution: Rs. 36/-
Total Contribution:Rs. 48/-
