Script for Adjusting Home Positions Manually GW3500B page E78
Welcome, this video covers how to align the analog or mechanical hands of a Casio watch. The watch hands may be affected by magnetic components in your environment or normal usage over time. Check in your manual for Correction of the Hand Home positions, Adjusting the Home Positions or on some watches there is an H-SET mode. Just remember every watch has its own variation of this procedure.
For the GW3500 the manual indicates buttons are labeled as
Upper Left = A
Upper Right = B
Lower Left = C
Lower Right = D
This can vary change on your particular watch.
We start with the watch in the time keeping mode. To be sure you are in the proper mode you will be able change what you are viewing in the digital display from time to date to Dual time back to time Pressing and releasing the upper D button.
Once you are certain you are in the timekeeping mode.
1. Press and hold the D button until HSet appears in the upper display, note the bottom display will be flashing SUB.
2. Release the D button and the hand on the right dial will move to C button, the dial on the right will move to 12
If not use the D button to adjust the Right dial – Use the B button to adjust the left dial
3. When the those dials are aligned; Press and release the C button
4. The hour and minute hands should begin to move and the display at the bottom will Flash 0:00
If the hands do not stop at 12, Pressing and releasing the D button will move the hands clockwise or press and release the B button to move the hands counter clockwise
5. When both hands point to 12; Press and release the A button to save.
