Dr Richard Wyse talks about the Australian Parkinson's Mission - an international collaboration between the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Shake It Up Australia Foundation, Parkinson’s Australia, The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s - which has been awarded a A$30 million government grant to identify and fast-track better treatments to people with Parkinson's. This is a world-first in Parkinson’s clinical trial design, and will sequence the genome of each patient, establishing a first step toward personalised medicine for Parkinson’s patients and to lead innovation and drive drug discovery in future.
