The PPP infrastructure project M6/M60 is part of the European corridor connecting the capital Budapest with Sarajevo. The project covers design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of a 2x2 lane motorway with 49.2 km on the M6 between Szekszárd and Bóly and with 30.2 km on the M60 between Bóly and Pécs. Further Main assets are 10 interchanges, 122 structures, 4 tunnels, 4 rest areas and 2 Operation & Maintenance centers.

The State of Hungary is the client for this concession and MAK Zrt. (Mecsek Autópálya Zrt.), a group company of STRABAG, is the concessionaire.

The road was constructed between 2007 and 2010. The concession period is 30 years and lasts until 2037. During this period the concession company is responsible for following main operational tasks:
• 24/7 road patrol and inspections
• landscaping / greenkeeping
• cleaning works of road surface, bridge structures, tunnels and road furniture
• winter maintenance
• tunnel maintenance
• emergency and accident response
• litter collection and disposal
