“How can I be successful in my career?” It’s a big question. And there are a lot of answers to it. To scratch the surface of career success, I have something called the four R’s.

In my NYU Stern School of Business class Becoming You, I teach students how to figure out your perfect career path. And part of that process includes the four R’s, which are four things you need to do no matter what career you choose for yourself to be successful.

1. Reskilling
2. Irregular relationships
3. Relevance
4. Resilience
