NEITH, though not as well known as Isis, was a major Egyptian goddess, the creator of all life, the virgin mother of the gods, and one of the foremost pagan goddesses of the ancient world. She may have even paved the way of the acceptance of the Virgin Mary many centuries later, by her own virgin status.
