The Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Betty Amongi, together with members of parliaments committee on physical infrastructure have established that Wakiso district officials are still issuing land titles for wetlands.
However, the Land Commissioner for mapping and surveys, William Ogalo, has said that part of the problem stems from the failure by the ministry of water and environment to clearly map out the area covered by protected wetlands.
