Kerala Fish Curry is an amazing fish curry made using coconut oil and coconut milk.It is a tasty recipe
a must try by one and all.
INGREDIENTS
Fish - 3/4 kilo
Tomatoes - 2 medium sized cut into small pieces
Onion - 2 medium sized cut into small square shapes
Curry leaves - few
Green chillies - 5
Ginger - 2 small pieces cut into julienns
Garlic - 6 cloves cut into slivers
Coconut milk thick - 1 glass
Coconut milk thin - 1 glass
Coconut oil - 2 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Crushed pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - as required
METHOD
1.In a pan heat oil to it add mustard seeds.
2.When mustard seeds splitters then add onions and saute.
3.When the colour of onion changes add ginger and garlic .
4.Then add green chillies and curry leaves.
5.Add some salt, then add red chilli powder and turmeric powder, saute for few seconds.
6.Now add tomatoes and cook till they are tender.
7.When tomatoes are tender then add thin coconut milk and mix well, to it add the fish pieces and
cook for five minutes.
8.After five minutes add thick coconut milk mix well and cook till fish is tender.
9.At last add the crushed pepper and serve hot with rice or chapati.
