A semi-truck carrying propane tanks erupted in flames after turning over on the Long Island Expressway in Queens on December 21 while reportedly trying to avoid hitting another vehicle.
An NYPD spokesman told the New York Post black ice on the lanes of the highway may have caused the semi-truck to roll over after the truck was cut off by another driver.
The impact shattered the propane tanks, leaving the vehicle engulfed flames. The video shows the freight in flames shortly before the propane explosion.
