"What's the alternative to sleeping bags as i'm not sure I want to use them. Scared of overheating more than anything, as upstairs our house is boiling!?"

If you're worried about your baby overheating, or don't particularly want to use a sleeping bag than the alternative is to use a light weight cellular blanket, or a light weight cotton sheet. It's really important you monitor the room temperature with a room thermometer.

Adjust your baby's bedding accordingly with the temperature, if it's really hot - for instance in a heatwave, you may end up with your baby just in a sleeveless vest together with a nappy.

You can get lightweight muslin sleeping bags that are 0.5 tog.
