Our 2 year anniversary living in La Folie (The Madness) Bonneville, Charente,
France. Thought it was time to put a few of the thousands of photos together that we have accumulated.
We loved the place as soon as we set eyes on it. Totally overgrown and falling down. You will see that Emma even embraced the cobweb strewn attic on our first visit.
Apart from the fantastic solid Charente stone structure, the downstairs windows, the stairs and the fireplaces, we have had to build and replace most of the rest include most of the roof but thankfully salvaging the beams.
Not even half way through renovating but a beautiful place to be in the heart of the countryside with some amazing places on our doorstep and we finally have some great rooms and outdoor spaces. Lots of visitors, lots of fun and lots of challenges but so far so good.
