Role play - Indira Gandhi

Today I am going to play the role of The Iron Lady of India - Yes, that is none other than Srimathi Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi.

I am the 3rd Prime Minister of India.

I was also the first lady Prime Minister of India.

I am the only daughter of the First Indian Prime Minister - Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Kamala Nehru.

I was born on 19th November 1917 at Anand Bhawan in UP.

I strongly believed in Woman Empowerment.

I could show the entire world what a woman is capable of.

I can proudly say that I could serve the nation till my last breath.

As I said in my last speech,
"Even if I died in the service of the nation, I would be proud of it.

Every drop of my blood ... will contribute to the growth of this nation and to make it strong"

The very next day of this speech, I was assassinated by my own bodyguards, on 31 October 1984.

I can proudly say that I was a fiery fighter for peace and security of the nation. 

I am so proud and happy to see my name written in golden letters in the History of India.

I know that I still live in the hearts of people and I was as an example of great courage and strength.
