Today was a pretty special day due to the fact that a good friend of mine was given a couple of VIP tickets by Aston Martin for Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Not only was the hospitality absolutely bang on perfect and we were both looked after exceptionally well, but we also had a run up the Goodwood Hill climb, and I have to say it was pretty damn impressive.

The Aston Martin Rapide S is absolutely stonking, and I mean I was a little shocked at how brutal this car is. I was expecting a relatively sedate drive up the hill and for it to be "nice" but no this Aston Martin Rapide S is seriously quick and I mean seriously quick.

I was pinned to my seat and every corner it snuck round without any complaints and Ed the drive was giving me running commentary while he was wrestling this monster of a family car up the Goodwood Hill.
