Hello, today we are of too Montrose..but not with ScotRail. Today we travelled with CrossCountry (XC) from Aberdeen.
We travelled on the 0635 Elgin - Aberdeen then connected on the 0820 Aberdeen - Plymouth however we terminated at Montrose. We travelled in a standard class which cost just short of £30.00.
Overall: the overall journey wasnt too bad and i will defo travel with cross country in the near future, i thought the price was quite reasonable, and the rain was quite smooth for its age...i would definetly recomend CrossCountry too anyone, i wish there were a service from Inverness, theres only one service a day down south from Inverness, which is with LNER.
in todays video a ScotRail HST, 158 & 170 is featured along with the XC 221 which was formed of 5 coaches.
I look forward too travelling with CrossCountry again.
