Jim Capaldi - performing Love Hurts, Pop, Germany, 1975

Jim’s chart busting cover of ‘Love Hurts’ is now available for the first time since its release in 1975 on all digital streaming and download platforms.

Jim’s version of Love Hurts was the highest reaching ever in the Official UK Charts, climbing to #4. Released 25.10.1975 it remained in the charts for 11 consecutive weeks.

The song never had an official music video, since music videos weren’t yet a ‘thing’ (until the birth of MTV in 1980) but Jim’s iconic performance of the song lives long in the memory. Who could forget that sequined yellow suit?! It was made by North Beach Leathers in LA - which was also one of #Elvis' favourite outfitters!
