A beautiful time lapse of the centre of the milky way setting over the horizon of Queensland's hinterland has been captured at Tambourine Mountain in South East Queensland, Australia.
Public servant Aaron Smith, 35, said he shot the time lapse, which comprises of 1100 separate images, over four hours.
Aaron said: "It was a super cold, long night starting at about 3:30am, but it's all worth the effort when it works out!"
"I knew fog was forecast for that part of Queensland which makes for nice movement in a time lapse, plus the combination of a clear sky and late moonrise makes for good astrophotography."
