I thought I’d share how I’m pumping overnight with our newborn because no one freakin’ teaches us this stuff when we become moms. Here are the steps:
1️⃣ Fill my pump basket to take to our bedroom (@momcozy M5 wearable breast pump, 1st bedtime bottle w/ milk, 3 empty baby bottles for later)
2️⃣1st Pump Session while feeding baby his bedtime bottle- pump on one side & then switch sides after about 15 minutes
3️⃣Wash pump parts & lay to dry in our bathroom
4️⃣Repeat steps 1-3 throughout the night (as needed)
5️⃣Bring breast pump & used bottles to the kitchen in the morning to eventually be cleaned/sterilized
I love how this pumping routine allows me to stay close to baby & also prevents me from having to make multiple trips to the kitchen in the middle of the night when I’m already super tired!
It also works great for the newborn stage since newborns tend to feed every 2-3 hours! (ex: breastmilk can stay at room temp for up to 4 hours, so pretty much guaranteed the milk will get used in time too😉)
And I just cannot say enough good things about the @momcozy M5 wearable breast pump!
It’s convenient as heck & so portable that I’ve been using it while cooking, cleaning, and even driving my daughter to preschool. A wearable breast pump has been my ultimate, time-saving, stress-free mom hack as a new mom of 2😍
