On July 1st the Avro Lancaster Bomber at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum flew for its first flight in 2020. This flight was in honour of Captain Jenn Casey and the 50th Anniversary of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds with the special Snowbirds 50th logo visible on the starboard side of its nose. The logo is visible at the end of the video.
This Lancaster Bomber has been flying for 33 years since its restoration to flying status. The roar of its V-12 Merlin engines is distinctive as it flies over Ontario. Thousands were anticipating the flight and many posted photos and videos of the flight across Niagara, Toronto, Halton, and back to Hamilton.
