Moa is basically a type of Bengali Winter special dessert (Mishti) which is prepared from a special variety of Puffed Rice (Kanakchur Khoi) mixed with Date Palm Jaggery (Nolen Gur), Sugar and lots of Kheer, Cashews, and Raisins. When it comes to Moas, there are no better places than Joynagar, a small town in the South 24 Parganas of West Bengal. Joynagar is the place where this unique Bengali dessert Moa was originated. There are multiple shops around the small town that are making Moas through generations now. After learning the authentic recipe from the traditional Sweet Makers at Maa Kaali Sweets who are making authentic Moas for more than 30 years now, we tried to prepare Bengal's heritage sweet Moa at our kitchen which turned out really nice.

Ingredients you'll need -
1. Nolen Gur / Date Palm Jaggery - 1 cup + 1 cup
2. Sugar - 1 cup + 1/2 cup
3. Water - 1 cup + 1 cup
4. Kanakchur Khoi / Puffed Rice - 250 gm
5. Cardamom Powder / Elach Powder - 1tbsp
5. Cashews - as much as you want
6. Raisins - as much as you want
7. Pistachio - as much as you want
8. Khoya Kheer - We have used 250 gm Kheer
9. Special Sree Ghee / Any other Ghee - 1tbsp
