This course covers a series of production techniques inspired by dub music and sound system culture. Speaker Louis explains how to use some features of Ableton Live to recreate classic effects such as dub delay or spring reverb in an efficient way, and how to incorporate them easily to your production workflow.
In Part 1, Louis focuses on Ableton’s Echo and shows how it can be used to emulate a classic sound of dub delay.
In Part 2, he uses convolution-based effects to obtain convincing spring reverb sounds for drums and vocals.
