Apple recently announced their “Expanded protection for children” feature without any warning at all. In short, Apple will have the ability to look at all your photos, and there’s nothing you can do about it. That is the line Apple should’ve never crossed.

This is the biggest change in Apple’s system so far and it brakes the trust with it’s users, because privacy was one of the main features and core values of Apple. Not to mention the possibility of it being used to invade user privacy by the authoritarian governments. That being said, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook and other tech companies are already checking your images. But the difference is, with this particular update it provides direct access to the local storage on user’s devices.
