In 1979, US Army surgeon Jeffrey MacDonald was tried and convicted of the murders of his pregnant wife and daughters. The defense claimed that intruders killed the family in the bedroom while MacDonald was being attacked in the living room.
The physical evidence retrieved at the crime scene proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the crime scene had been rearranged and that only MacDonald could have rearranged it. MacDonald's account of having been knocked out in a scuffle with four deranged assailants was felt by investigators to be suspicious.
He would evade justice for nine years thanks to a botched investigation. But after a detailed forensic reconstruction, the former US army special forces doctor was convicted of brutally killing his family in a night of bloody horror. So why MacDonald's murder conviction for killing his own family is still being debated?
Jeffrey MacDonald has continued to protest his innocence and has looked to appeal the verdict as recently as 2018. The Jeffrey MacDonald case was famously profiled in the book "Fatal Vision."
"THE JEFFREY MACDONALD MURDER CASE" is directed by Stephanie Silber, and produced by Joel Sucher and Steve Fischler. For more please check [ Ссылка ].
