In September 2004, two of the early front runners for the League Two title in Yeovil and Swansea met at Huish Park. A tight game was settled by a very late penalty from Merthyr-born and Cardiff-supporting Gavin Williams, returning from injury as a substitute. At the end of the season, both teams were promoted with Yeovil running out as Champions and Swansea being promoted on the last day.
