I will present recent work that has extended the flexibility
and utility of the SED fitting software ProSpect. The GAMA and DEVILS
surveys provide an unusually large quantity (hundreds of thousands) of
galaxies out to redshift 5 with UV-FIR (~20 band) coverage to well
matched depth. Extracting all the physics we can from this trove of
data is vital, and to that end we have added sophistication to the
ProSpect SED fitting code, allowing for physically motivated evolving
metallicity per source (which is counter to the fixed or constant
metallicity adopted for any other large study to date). This has
allowed us to create truly self-consistent predicted star formation
histories (i.e. match the known CSFH). In addition, a highly flexible
AGN model and predictive extension into the radio domain opens up
opportunities to understand mass build up and energetic feedback with
the next generation of large optical/radio surveys.
