If you are trying to download any RAR, VBS, Batch, PHP, etc files through Google Chrome, but it won't download. You will get an error messeage "Failed, virus detected". Here are the steps to fix failed virus detected error on Google Chrome.
1. Launch your Chrome
2. Go to Google Chrome Settings and open "Privacy & Security" settings.
3. Open "Security" settings and then select "No Protection" to turn off the Google Chrome safe browsing feature.
4. Now you need to turn off the Windows real-time protection to allow such files.
5. Go to Settings and select "Updates & Security"
6. Open Windows Security.
7. Click to open Virus & Threat protection settings.
8. Click on Manage Settings.
9. Now Turn OFF "Real-time protection" & "Cloud-delivered protection"
Now, try to download the file and you won't get the "Virus detected" Error anymore.
