NH10 Siliguri to Sikkim || Nh 10 Open Today || Nh 10 Road Condition Today || #sikkim
Road status update for Mangan district on 23rd August:
1. The road from Mangan to Gangtok via Rakdung-Tintek is clear.
2. The Mangan to Gangtok route via Phodong is clear but restricted to light vehicles only.
3. The road from Mangan to Chungthang via Toong Naga is currently blocked.
4. The Chungthang to Dikchu road via Phidang-Sangkalang-Shipgyer is open for light vehicles with the following time restrictions:
- Chungthang to Dikchu (downwards) from 5:00 am to 8:00 am
- Dikchu to Chungthang (upwards) from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm
- Emergency vehicles are exempt from these restrictions.
* Note: It is recommended that all road users on this route use 4x4 vehicles.
5. The Chungthang to Lachen road is open with the following time restrictions:
- Chungthang to Lachen (upward) from 6:00 am to 8:00 am and 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm
- Lachen to Chungthang (downward) from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
- This route is open only for private vehicles of Lachen, emergency vehicles, and law & order duty vehicles. No vehicular movement is allowed after 7:00 pm.
6. The Lachen to Thangu route is operational with a footwalk suspension bridge at Zeema-1 for commuters.
7. The road from Thangu to Gurudongmar is open.
8. The road from Chungthang to Lachung is clear.
9. The road from Lachung to Yumthang is clear.
10. The road from Mangan to Singtam is blocked at Dipu-Dara. An alternative route is available via Khamdong-Dochum-Sirwani.

Sikkim: After being shut for 2 months, NH 10 opens for small vehicles, minibuses
After nearly 2 months of closure of the National Highway 10 due to landslides, the highway has been finally opened for small vehicles and minibuses.
Sikkim notably faced a huge loss as National Highway 10 remained closed since June 28 after the landslide occurred in the month of May.

1. MANGAN TO GANGTOK VIA RAKDUNG-TINTEK ROAD IS CLEAR.
2. MANGAN TO GANGTOK VIA PHODONG ROAD IS CLEAR FOR LIGHT VEHICLES ONLY.
3. MANGAN- CHUNGTHANG VIA TOONG NAGA ROUTE IS BLOCKED.
4. CHUNGTHANG TO DIKCHU ROAD VIA PHIDANG - SANGKALANG - SHIPGYER ROUTE IS OPEN FOR LIGHT VEHICLES BUT SUBJECT TO TIMINGS:-
I) CHUNGTHANG TO DIKCHU (DOWNWARDS) - 0500 HRS TO 0800 HRS.
II) DIKCHU- CHUNGTHANG (UPWARDS) - 1630 HRS TO 2200 HRS
III) VEHICLES ON EMERGENCY DUTY ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE RESTRICTIONS.
*NOTE-IT IS ADVISED TO ALL THE ROAD USERS TO USE 4*4 VEHICLES IN THE ABOVE ROUTE*.
5. CHUNGTHANG TO LACHEN ROAD OPEN SUBJECT TO TIMING:-
I. CHUNGTHANG TO LACHEN (UPWARD) FROM 06:00 AM TO 08:00 AM & 04:00 PM TO 05:30 PM.
II. LACHEN TO CHUNGTHANG (DOWNWARD) FROM 08:00 AM TO 10:00 AM & 05:30 PM TO 07:00 PM.
NOTE :- THE ROUTE IS ONLY OPEN FOR THE PRIVATE VEHICLES OF LACHEN , EMERGENCY VEHICLES AND L&O DUTY VEHICLES . FURTHER ,THERE SHALL NOT BE ANY VEHICULAR MOVEMENT AFTER 07:00 PM.
6. LACHEN TO THANGU: FOOTWALK SUSPENSION BRIDGE IS OPERATING FOR COMMUTERS AT ZEEMA -1
7. THANGU -GURUDONGMAR OPEN.
8. CHUNGTHANG TO LACHUNG CLEAR.
9. LACHUNG TO YUMTHANG ROAD CLEAR
