Ever since Honda announced their new E-Clutch technology on their 2024 CB650R and 2024 CBR650R, I've seen toonnns of people asking how similar/different the E-Clutch is to Honda's DCT transmissions on bikes like their Rebel 1100, Africa Twin, and Gold Wing. Well I was fortunate enough to have an E-clutch CB650R and a DCT Rebel 1100T in the same place, so I figured I'd film this quick comparison for you guys!
Hopefully this video helps you understand the differences between the new E-Clutch system and Honda's tried and true DCT transmission, and helps you decide which "non-traditional" transmission system is right for you!
