Term project for singletrack vehicle design. This one's a front-loading cargo bike that fits two. Here you can see it being ridden by a classmate, with an estimable professor riding shotgun.
For those of you paying attention, the fork is raked backwards. This, along with the steep headtube (83°), gives this bike similar road trail to a standard frame, but leaves the bike much less susceptible to heavy loads (the 1.3 m wheelbase also helps). This also means that when unloaded, the bike steers like a lawn chair on a cloud of dreams. Is this good? Is this bad? It is not up to us to judge.
The frame rides exactly how I hoped it would. Basically, anyone who can ride a bike can do a lap with their bud on the front. Main areas for improvement: needs a paintjob, a more rigid steering linkage, and a sweet bag up front for all the sexy shit I need to carry.
