World Premiere of Nicholas Nelson's "Every time a passing train made the earth shake, the surface of the water used to ripple delicately, concentrically, and in utter silence. But it was not only the earth that shook for us: the air around and above us was alive and signaling too."

This piece was premiered at Stony Brook University's "Sonic Spring" concert in April, 2019. The piece uses four calabash, crotales suspended in water, and computer. Nelson's piece is still a work in progress and will develop further in the coming months.
*Because of the subtleness of the calabash, the recording will sound best with headphones or decent speakers.
