An e-scooter rider was arrested and charged after Somerset police said he was found riding on a motorway south of Bridgwater while over the drink driving limit early on December 29.
The 29-year-old, named by local media as Jamal Rabeh, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance, and violating regulations as a learner driver on a motorway, the Somerset County Gazette said.
“You couldn’t write it,” police said on X, adding that the suspect also had “rubbish visibility” while riding.
