Strawberry plants can freeze and manage well in 20 degree F winters. They can even manage in temperatures as low as 10 degrees F. This is how I fertilize and care for them in the fall. This is a great time to propagate them. Come spring, I feed them 1x and let them go. I keep them outside all winter.
