Who is Sami Khan ?

Mansoor Aslam Khan Niazi known professionally as Sami Khan (born 6 July 1980) is a Pakistani actor and model who appears in films and television dramas.

He started his career with the film Salakhain in 2004 before moving to television.

Early life and education

Sami Khan was born on 6 July 1980 into a Pashtun (Niazi) family in Lahore, Punjab. He studied at Divisional Public School and graduated as an electronic and communication engineer from UET in 2003, even though he did not work as one, as he landed a role in a film.

His brother Taifoor Khan, an NCA graduate, is also an actor and model, while also being a musician who had his own successful band till 2008, Jadoo.

Career

Khan made his Lollywood debut in 2004 with the movie Salakhain, where he portrayed the role of a young police officer named Mansoor. His debut drama serial was Dil se Dil Tak which was originally broadcast on PTV.

Khan won the award for Best Actor in the 16th PTV awards ceremony, held on 23 July 2011, for the drama serial Ghar Ki Khatir. He is also the recipient of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (which is prestigious civilian award), in the Performing Arts Category in 2012.

He was also nominated for Best Actor at Lux Style Awards for his outstanding performance in drama series Main (2013).

Vasay Chaudhry (born on 12 November 1981) is a Pakistani screenwriter, actor, director, producer, host, and comedian. He is best known for writing sitcoms and comedy-dramas for Pakistani televisions. He is also known for writing films. He wrote Main Hoon Shahid Afridi and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. While Mai Hoon Shahid Afridi was an average success, Jawani phir Nahe Ani went on to become the highest grossing film of Pakistan cinema and broke all the previous box office records while earning more than 490 million at the box office. He also wrote Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, which was released on 2018 Eid al-Adha and broke the all time biggest box office grosses record. It also went on to become the first Pakistani film to make 700 Million rupees worldwide.
