PAINTING PINE TREES IN EARLY MORING LIGHT with Suzanne Barrett Justis
In this step by step oil painting tutorial for beginners, I will show you how to paint some pine trees in the early morning light. The inspiration for this landscape painting came to me like a bolt of lightning on my early morning walk with my dog, Singer. As a Nature artist, seeing these two pine trees bathed in the warm glow of the morning sunrise just begged to be painted. I will show you how to paint the pine trees with the warm light of morning along with the cooler hues where the sun has not yet reached. You will learn how to color mix your oils, how to create depth in landscapes using value and temperature of your colors, how to layer paint to create detail, and basic composition for a landscape. This landscape tutorial for beginners is in oils but can basically be applied to landscape painting in acrylics as well.
