PLEASE READ: A consultant is someone in a role to guide and support a person, team or organization to change, but who has no authority to make that change happen, for example, an advisor, trainer, coach, facilitator or mentor.
This video is an example of one of the components in each of the Consultants Development Institute’s virtual courses on consulting and is relevant to all of those roles.
Components in CDI’s virtual courses include: a pre-assessment, a Learning Journal, handouts/downloads, a clear and concise video, suggestions for further learning, questions for reflection and discussion, and a post-assessment. This video might refer to some or all of those components.
The video component is designed to very quickly, clearly and concisely convey important foundational information about the topic. The component is not intended to convey certain state-of-the-art models or specialized information about consulting.
CDI's virtual courses provide the foundational knowledge from which to build your consulting, people, organizational and systems skills to become a highly effective consultant. The courses are useful, whether you are a new or highly experienced consultant, a specialist or generalist, an internal or external consultant, and working with nonprofits, for-profits or government.
