The Mercedes EQA is essentially the pure electric version of the GLA, Mercedes’ smallest SUV. This part of the market is increasingly busy, with rivals already including the Volvo XC40 P8, Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Skoda Enyaq. The EQA delivers respectable range and performance, and the interior is as good as we’ve come to expect from cars wearing the three-pointed star, but is the car good enough overall to kick-start a switch to electric family SUVs?
